Where to Buy Cheap Grinder Parts

Can you believe there are close to 25 to 30 grinder parts that make an angle die grinder? Let me try to list as much now. O ring, retaining ring, spiral bevel gear, ball bearing, spindle, wheel cover, pan head screw, tapping screw, inner flange, lock nut, woodruff key, grip holder, cord guard, strain relief, standing lock nut, rubber pad, compression spring, baffle plate, fan, insulating washer. The good thing is that most of these grinder parts are replaceable.

There is a varied choice available for these grinders from different manufactures which make it more competent and interesting in the market. Most of the critical internal parts of the machine will suit another unit from the same maker.

When your unit fails, do not throw them away completely. You can probably open the case and preserve a few spare parts which are in good condition so that they can be re used when you find some minor repairs with another apparatus.

When your functioning angle die grinder doesn't work and you feel it contains lot of dust inside because of some particles you have worked with or because of wear and tear, don't panic. You could just set it right in few minutes.

Make sure the power cord is removed and your face is not too close to the device. Make sure you cover your eyes with goggles and your nose so that you don't get allergic due to the dust.

Find the screws that are holding your angle die grinder case and remove the housing. Locate the brush holders. They are square shaped and made of brass. You can now easily find the grinder parts - brushes. Remove them from the unit with something like a flat screw driver. They will be made of carbon usually a pair of them located on either side.

If the brushes are dirty, you can clean them with something like a pencil eraser. Or you can use some air to be blown off to remove the dust. If they are worn off, you could replace them.

But temporarily until you get a new one, you can make some alterations and work with them. You can take a piece of sand paper and rub these brushes against them until they get smooth. Once they get smoother, you can replace them back from where you removed. And check your grinder parts by powering your unit.
